Installation of sarge on hercules

Hi out there,

i've tried to install sarge on hercules, but i am struggeling with
the installer.
I can ipl from tape and set up networking. The problem shows up when
i try to connect to a debian mirror:
"Choose a mirror of the Debian archive"

Error message is:
"ERROR: Bad archive mirror"

The next step was to log in via ssh using the shell. I can see a
message in /var/log/syslog reading:
"Jan 16 21:26:45 choose-mirror[297]: DEBUG: command: wget -q
http://ftp2.de.debian.org/debian/dists/sarge/Release -O - | grep
^Suite: | cut -d' ' -f 2"

If I run
"wget -q http://ftp2.de.debian.org/debian/dists/sarge/Release -O - |
grep ^Suite: | cut -d' ' -f 2"

manually it returns "testing".

I can't see what is wrong here.

Any hints on this?
